#7daysofpoetry – Day Three

Because I’ve been brainwashed fridays must definitely be fun…lol…we’ll talk Ghanaian Politics today for #7daysofpoetry. I’m capturing just the fun and don’t blame me, I couldn’t resist Onaapo. For my non-Ghanaian audience Onaapo is a Ga word that transliterates as you won’t get. In Ghana, it either means you are priceless or you won’t be given the obvious.

Ghanaian Politics is fun
Like how Ayariga can claim
He should be allowed to run for the seat because of fame,
Throw tantrums and still endure the ban.

Ghanaian Politics is fun.
Once we will always have Akua Donkor,
The NDC still in a comfortable lead like Pompor,
Admire candidates like our thumbs won’t shun them for NADAA

Ghanaian Politics is fun
Where else will you find babies with sharp teeth
Now broken from a bite of Sharlotte.

Ghanaian Politics is fun
We’ll wave for your Dubai
Still turn up with your song
After we take our power.

What was fun for you about your country’s last elections? If you’re Ghanaian, what from elections 2016 will keep you laughing whenever you recollect?

🤣🤣🤣 I’ve been trying to understand why they even made that statement in the first place. These are politicians.

Don’t mind them. What sort of misleading consolation is this.
